Arnold P. Peter is the founder of the Peter Law Group which was created with a vision to offer its elite clients the rare combination of expertise in both litigation and transactional matters. While most law firm have specialized departments, Mr. Peter is one of the few entertainment attorneys accomplished as both a trial lawyer and industry deal-maker. Mr. Peter and his team are able to approach contract negotiations with the skill to avoid future disputes over the terms and to analyze an existing disagreement with the insight to either solve the conflict or to win the case at the time of trial.

Mr. Peter began his legal career in the entertainment industry as Director of Labor Relations for Universal Studios. He has negotiated more than 40 labor agreements with ten unions representing more than 15,000 employees. Mr. Peter became an expert in employment contract negotiations with complicated equity compensation components. He was promoted to Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs and eventually led a 12-attorney team that negotiated most of the agreements for the expansion of Universal Citywalk. He became a partner and chair of the Entertainment and Media Practice at the international law firm of Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP. He went on to co-found Peter Rubin & Simon, LLP, a full service entertainment boutique law firm, where he will continue to serve several blue chip clients in an Of Counsel capacity. Mr. Peter is a frequent commentator on legal and business related issues having appeared on all major media outlets including CNN, MSNBC and Fox News.
